In 2017, Decanter magazine chose Babel Budapest as the best international restaurant, evaluating our bold and unique wine-pairing concept based on food and the balance that exists exclusively with white wines and champagnes.
In close cooperation with the chefs, head sommelier Norbert Nádházi approaches and then creates the food and drink pairings with humility. Our restaurant's wine pairing still revolve around Hungarian wines, proudly presenting their diversity. Beyond the wine pairings, a range of non-alcoholic juices are also available, the recipes of which are made with ingredients grown in the Carpathian Basin and prepared using kitchen technologies.
Alternatively our guests could also choose drink pairing as a third option where the world opens up, because alcoholic, non-alcoholic, sparkling and still, sweet as well as dry all gets along together perfectly, starting with teas through vermouths all the way down to sakes.
